Description
Copper torc with fox pierce work and set with a 16mm carnelian cabochon.
I cut the two halves from a copper sheet, soldered them at the center, soldered a piece of 16 gauge copper wire to the edge and put the setting over the center join. The solder is silver colored so the back isn't quite as clean, but this was a prototype so I'm not too worried about that. Now I know I can do this sort of thing, I'll probably work on making the next one cleaner.

A note on the fox pattern - the design for the foxes was drawn heavily from a piece by :~bionic-dingo: called Cave Painting - Fox. I'm a rotten graphical artist, so I'm always looking for designs that would work in pieces like this, and I really admired this particular piece. Hopefully my poor imitation will be taken as the flattery it is meant to be (even with my rather belated addition of credit where credit is due).

I know most of your work is with beads and chainmaille and such, but since you do have some work like this you should consider joining the *metalsmiths group!
